| 3/4 | c | Cocoa |
| 1/2 | ts | Baking Soda |
| 2/3 | c | Butter or marg. melted |
| | | Divided |
| 1/2 | c | Boiling water |
| 2 | c | Sugar |
| 2 | | Eggs |
| 1 1/3 | c | All purpose flour |
| 1 | ts | Vanilla |
| 1/4 | ts | Salt |
| 1/2 | c | Coarsely chopped pecans |
| 2 | c | Semisweet chocolate chunks |
In a large bowl, combine cocoa and soda; blend in 1/3 c melted butter. Add
boiling water; stir until well blended. Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining
butter. Add flour, vanilla and salt. Stir in the pecans and chocolate
chunks. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 35 - 40 min or until
brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.
